I'll be on as soon as I'm back at school (later today) and have access to my tower again.
By the way, does this mean #arika is disbanded?

Nope, #arika is still there. This is just a more public and general tetris place to hang out at. See you on there. http://www.tetrisconcept.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif
Maybe I'll try to be around there more often, might have some of those "not-worthy-for-a-topic" questions that need answering...

Ah, I have no clue about those. Why not a dedicated client?

grabbing one now thanks.
If you're using Mozilla Firefox, there's an add-on available called "ChatZilla (http://https?addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/16)" that works as an IRC client. You can log a channel's activity with a checkbox in the preferences menu.
There's also IceChat (http://www.icechat.net/default.htm) which is a standalone client, and is fairly customizable. Logging is enabled by default.
These are the best non-browser-based IRC clients I've come across.
i found one called calloquy for OS X. it works but i cannot say how good as it's the only thing i tried http://www.tetrisconcept.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

If you're on Windows, use XChat, please.
http://www.silverex.org (http://www.silverex.org/default.htm)
It's so much better than mIRC, browser-based clients, and IM-based clients.
XChat or irssi is good for Linux.
I didn't like any OS X clients I tried, plus I hate Apple, so I don't really have any recommendations for that.
