Yeah.. its kinda misleading since I really did suck for a long time at Tetris.. now.. I'm okay. Today, I ran into Sully who I see posts here... He's okay. I think I was up 10 wins when he left http://www.tetrisconcept.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif

Good games last night. We started off rated about the same (~7200) with a nice back and forth series for about 10 matches, but then you ripped off about 8 or 9 straight wins and built about a 150 point rating lead. After all was said and done, though, I had chipped away enough to even out our ratings again, even though you had (as you said) won about 10 more matches.

Hope to see you again.

oh lol, didnt look at the dates. I think TOJ is dead now, or will be dead very soon, because of all the fees. They're just trying to get rich off the game, but it's going to backfire and only a handful of people are going to play it. Monthly fees is bad enough, but having to pay for piece holding and other features is retarded. Tetris splash is pretty good and only $10 with no monthly fee, and I think from the same company? Hopefully tetrisonline.com does things similar to tetris splash.

no, gungho developed toj with tetris online japan. right? tetris online would be a different company, i'd think.

Except the idea of charging for rule modifications was Rogers' idea (http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/specialArt.cfm?artid=11267), not Gungho's.

unless you have inside info, you can't know it wasn't gungho's. is this the only gungho game that does this type of thing? even if that's true, it's the first tetris game to do it, and only time will tell if we'll see this more often.

Except the idea of charging for rule modifications was Rogers' idea (http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/specialArt.cfm?artid=11267)

Mr. Rogers was vague as to whether "by a tetreon[sic]" referred to real-world currency or to in-game currency earned by winning matches against NPCs (as in MMORPGs and racing sims).
