Welcome to the carnival's death leaderboard. This year, in addition to the standard leaderboard, I'll be keeping track of everybody's records added together, which will be referred to as the DEATH TOLL.

As per traditional carnival rules, people using death mode clones are allowed to participate in this unified leaderboard. Though keep in mind that only people playing in the real death mode will have their records carried over into the real death leaderboard at the end of the carnival.

reasons for which I used to find myself playing texmaster:
-loaded more quickly
-able to start from level xxx easily without using a cheat, and without messing up section times.
-slightly different feel (mostly aesthetics)
-automatically saves all replays. note that I have mame set up to record an inp whenever i play, but i never save anything unless I make a new record.

reasons for which I probably won't be using texmaster for awhile:
-my joystick doesn't work. When I press "left" on my joystick, it rotates, AND does hold piece. wtf.

reasons for which I never use heboris:
-too many versions, too confusing. some versions didn't work. etc etc etc.

Heh, thanks for a cool week. I couldn't play as much as I wanted to, BUT I broke my old record several times, so I'm more than pleased with the results of the week. ^^

Edit: Ah, btw, the carnival just ended here in Sweden + countries in the same time zone. That's why i wrote my post like that. ;D

Yep, great CoD. I wasn't able to play as much as I wanted either, the entire weekend fell off. :-/
But I still improved my old record quite a few times, and as I usually don't play TAP modes but stay with TGM3 modes, it did take some time for me to get used to the wall/floorkick limitations,
but I think I gained some experience and it should have improved my stacking in 20G by a little bit. http://www.tetrisconcept.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

Man, TAP Death is a lot harder than TI 20G. The best I've done is

133 in 1:24:20

on actual TAP. If blockbox's TA Expert (with ARS of course) counts, my best is

137 1:22:52.

Maybe I should stick to TI...
