*this shows five medals to the right of the playing field with a number right next to each them. I've confirmed that the SK medal's number is the number of tetris's (Heboris's) done, and the CO medal's number is the current combo. no clow what (specifically) causes the ST number to go up, but it seems to go up by 100 at a time. oddly enough, I didn't see RO or TS (Rotation or T-Spin [?]) medals, despite the fact that both are in the graphic files. this is also what I used to pull the medal numbers above.


nothing else was touched (although I did create two more sound files for COOL and REGRET. oddly enough, I didn't here the regret.wav file at all)

Also, seems Heboris is more lenient with grading than Texmaster.

Either that, or I can't get a good game with Texmaster, best grade is S7 in that.

No texmaster is a bit easier, because you could have a good rank with no tetris, but heboris requiers that you perform a several quota of tetris per sections to give you a rank..Then, the 500+ on Heboris is a little bit easier to support, thank to a slightly longer lock delay..

Is Heboris touchy with section regrets? I seem to always get a regret at 0-100 even if my time is less then 1:20. the wiki says 1:30 am I missing something?

It might be tetris related. I've had section times of 1:13 or so and no REGRET, unless the cutoff's 1:15 or so.

Heboris G4 is, how shall we say this.. not accurate.

The tetris cool, for example, counts towards grade.

And i'm pretty sure the regret timing do not match TI.

It's also possible that failure to get the tetris cool earns you a "tetris regret" (ouch!).

I don't always get them on heboris, but texmaster has me feeling i should not have gotten it when i do.

Texmaster is much more accurate with regards to regrets.

Hebo G4 works like so, i believe. This is what i was told.

+1 internal grade section cool (or is it +1 per SP Rank upgrade?)
+1 internal grade tetris cool
+1 internal grade for no section time regret
plus any additional grade points gained with line clears

BUG! In master hard in mini at least, if you get a tetris cool when your internal grade is 32, it will DROP to 31 (!) So suggest only 3 tetrises in the 900 section(!)

The regrets are a floating scale, and are not consistent. The section regret time is the section cool time, plus a constant of 6 (which is apparently NOT seconds) plus an amount that seems to depend on your performance. Performing well makes you less likely to get a regret. It seems to be the sp rank divided by 40 (again, not in seconds)

All rotation systems other than Ti-ARS, Ti-World, DRS, and DS-World will have their leaderboards scrapped. The little variations in these other systems make everything too arbitrary and are not worth the trouble. Those who are playing on them should move on to the more distinguished and arguably better systems.

The Level/sec stat has also been removed because the speeds vary so greatly from 0-999, making the stat sort of pointless. The leaderboards have been streamlined to reflect this.

You're right. I think the grading seems to put a huge emphasis on the M-Roll. You could probably make much fewer tetrises than I did on that last run and still get into the M grades if you play really well in the roll. So if you want to know where best to attack, that would be it.

For what I know about 20G G4 and Master G4, there is 16 cool to get in Heboris, you have 1 cool per section in performing each one under a several time limit, around the same as TGM3, and you have to perform for each section :

000 - 100 : 3 tetrises
100 - 200 : 6 tetrises (ounch!)
200 - 300 : 4 tetrises
then also 4 for the other sections..

I have no idea about the m roll's rules...

There are 19 COOLs you can earn. From my experience, the tetris COOL can be supplemented by large combos and T-spins. As such, it very much helps if you set your Heboris to detect T-spins Ti-style. The section COOL seems to be a fixed time limit per section rather than the sliding scale implemented in Texmaster, with the required time decreasing as the game progresses. There is also an internal grade system like TAP/Ti at work, somehow, and all three of these combine to produce your final grade.

My guess: Internal grade + Section Cool + Tetris Cool - failed Tetris Cool + 31591385 * Credit Roll Performance. However, I think you are capped at S9 for Internal Grade + Tetris Cool - failed Tetris Cool or something. I really don't know.

That's because my ACE-ARS2 games can m-roll out with all section cools and lots of tetris cools, and I still earn m7-m9. While this game sucked hard after level ~700 (maybe getting 1-2 tetrises total), survived the fading roll with a below-average performance, and got M.

In TI and Tex, you don't have this ofcourse..But the internal grad jauge of TI and Tex is much easier to compensate..For example, a crappy game on G4 with almost no tetrises and section time cool will end around S5-S6 on G4 and S8-S9 on TI or Tex..(based on my experience..)

The system of G4 is stupid, because if yo do per section : 2-5-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3, with a lot of combo combined with lot of triples, you will finish with a crappy rank..

For a good player who can stack and lock efficiently until 999, G4 will be easier (M on G4 ~m8 on TI)
For NoTGhost, I am sure she struggles on her 1-S1 on Master G4 but she would be S3 on TI with the same performance..

I heard about a story of constant TORIKAN to get the m roll even in missing many cool, you have to clear the game under 6:30, but it is not 100% confirmed.

Because I can only well manage 2,2 TPS on keyboard and maybe 2,8 TPS with a stick.
For example I can manage very well a TI Master for 0-500 with the keyboard, but then at 600+ I simply can't play properly.

So I play with the keyboard, I am practicing everything which doesn't requier high speed currently. so to be clear I am hard working to not play anymore like a monkey, which the case of too many players here.
