Include which rotation system you used and the time it took. Time will separate players with the same lock delay record. I am aware of the differences between rotation systems, but I can't do much about that since the developers didn't separate step/move-reset and floor kicks from the rotation systems.

So this is ranked by lock delay and then time?

Yeah, good idea.

Spawn Y type, pick one, quickly!

Knew I was forgetting something--the hard one of course.

Hm, there should be one more stipulation. All the SRS systems, excluding SRS-X, are the same except for how many rotations/movements they allow. The player is required to use the one which allows the least (or can pick non-SRS). Anyone know which one allows the least?

edit: n/m figured it out (thanks wiki).

TI-WORLD, or you could just make your own and have everyone use that...

DIGITAL

Ti-world allows the least (8).

TI-WORLD is the coolest, certainly.

Heh, it was supposed to be an eight but I guess that also works.

By the way, for people that don't know how to make presets, open up heboris.ini and scroll to the bottom. In "FAVORITES," the second to last section, you can either replace the existing presets or add to the list.

Rotation: SRS-X

Lock Delay: 13

Time: 1:16.53

http://www.tetrisconcept.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif would have topped out with the final piece placement if it hadn't cleared a line.

In that case, can you make a category for Lockjaw, which does separate these settings? I'd suggest these fixed options:
gimmick: 40 lines well width: 10 enter above ceiling: off speed curve: death max entry delay: off randomizer: history 6 rolls rotation system: any floor kicks: 1 lockdown: step reset lock delay: Make this as low as possible line clear delay: 3 frames clear gravity: naive initial sideways motion: off
Heh, it was supposed to be an eight but I guess that also works.

To make an 8) without turning it into a smiley, do 8) .

there's a couple problems. the number of lock delay values would decrease, so you'd have more people clumped in the same values. no 20g double rotation. also, lj can't accurately handle instant das in 20g.

SRS-X and Ti-WORLD seem about the same difficulty to me. also i disabled IRS which helped. the image says heboris style IRS, but it definitely wasn't on.

oh, and i don't think the DAS can be higher than 13 frames with 12 frame lock delay. gave myself as much time to think as possible http://www.tetrisconcept.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

yeah, turning off irs helps. remember you have to change it in heboris.ini or it'll keep turning itself back on.

so i'm confused now, what's your current record?

I just tried this and kinda failed with 30... When I can get 30, I'll post. How do you take a screenshot?

Rotation systems banned: ACE-SRS, ACE-ARS, ACE-ARS2, and DS-WORLD

what are the challenge rules witch define the Rotation system choice ?

jujube

caffeine-are you going to put a cap on the DAS? there's a big difference between 13 frame and 0...for now i'll stick with the slowest if lock delay is more important than time. i guess my last score is my best, but would you consider having a leaderboard for every rotation? if so i would keep both scores. for now i really don't see anyone using anything but SRS-X or Ti-World which is kind of a shame. too bad the lock delay type can't be changed independent of the rotation like you said. i feel like i'm better off than the ARS players http://www.tetrisconcept.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Lardarse-i used the print screen key then pasted in MS paint.

jago-it seems you can use any rotation except those banned, but the SRS rotations give you an advantage with move reset lock delay.

edit: caffeine-what about a formula that factors in lock delay and time achieved? in that case you would want low DAS. maybe a multiplier for the difficulty of the rotation system? that would be difficult to agree on though http://www.tetrisconcept.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif or maybe i'm just trying to complicate things.

anyone here likes to add a wikipedia entry about replays? unbelievable, but there is no entry yet (regarding computer games).

i am not good enough in english that i would like to do that, so please someone here in the forum maybe can do it?

caffeine

lardarse, i used the "print screen" button on my keyboard (top right). Shaolin motto: "one must keep on and on to succeed."

jago, ace-srs and ds-world are eliminated since ti-world is the same, yet allows less rotations/movements. the ace rotation systems are eliminated for sort of the same reason (128 movements/rotations).

jujube, i'll separate the records. about das, i'm not sure. i haven't fooled with that idea enough.

I had a lock delay 9 replay at 00:53:xx but I unfortunately saved over it so this'll have to do for now.

Oh, and there is an error with kotetsu's time. It should be 00:53:48.

Hmm, actually, I haven't given DOOM enough effort yet. But after playing on lock delay 9/10 for a couple of hours, I went back on DOOM and locked all the way to 1000 without much effort. http://www.tetrisconcept.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif This lock delay challenge is good practice!

looks like they just released a heboris mini that lets you limit rotations and movements and turn off lock reset. looks promising. i think i'd like to practice with this version once it allows fullscreen.

hebo mini does allow full screen and serious configuration of the rotation systems. It seems very good for Lock delay Challenge.
