MIHARA, KAN, and JINPACHI !!!!!!!
A lot of people now are aware about my tetrismanga project, I am creating a big database to help me and Sy to really begin the work..
I have now a lot of profiles of some people here, in order to represent the community with the true great players..
But how I can imagine to draw the 3 strongest japan players without a model??? I don't want to invent 3 false faces for jin, kan and mihara..
If somebody here already saw its somewhere on the net, please help me..
I will flood a bit to keep this topic on the top during 1 or 2 weeks to be sure everybody can see my request..There are few people very well informed here..Jago, c_t, petitprince, caffeine, needle,..etc..

If their pictures cannot easily be found on the internet, they probably don't want them to be...

Surely Jin8 should merely represented as a pair of hands? http://www.tetrisconcept.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif

I don't know about France, buit privacy/anonymity is a VERY strong concept here - by default, people will want to keep their faces kept away from the Internet. People who openly show them are rare.

It's nice that you're an exception to that Needle.

maybe I have Ichiro Mihara, but I am not sure..Do you know if this man is 56 years old ? If it is no, I have not the true photo..
Maybe there is more than 5-6 Ichiro Mihara in this country..
I plan to ask directely to jin8 on his blog if I can find it..

I'm not. Perhaps I should've worded it clearer: people strongly guard their personal information, including name, age, address, the photographs of their faces, etc.
And Amnesia, I think asking directly would not be a very wise idea. Asking for a photograph directly to a guy in Japan is like someone from Nigeria asking you to tell him your bank account number - in a message written in Nigerian (The exact country in this example is not important; just imagine any country you know nothing about). It would only sound invasive and rude, or dubious at best. Names and handlenames work well enough to identify individual persons.
Trust me, they value their identity information as extremely private. I do too. As a result of being online for so long, I probably do have a couple pictures of myself floating around on the net, but if anyone does find one, please do not associate them with me, at least in a public context.

Ok thank for the advice..I won't ask..
I know he has a blog..If I find a photo, I will use it just for my inspiration to draw..But otherwise..It is a scheme.. http://www.tetrisconcept.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_cry.gif I will invent.. http://www.tetrisconcept.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif

That was what I meant by "exception". There's Youtube videos at least.

Isn't there an issue of Arcadia (or a japanese magazine, I don't remember) where there was an interview of Mihara along with its picture as illustration ? It was on c_t FTP, IIRC.
needle, any insight into the reasoning behind that stance? interesting cultural difference. in the states people seem to embrace the opposite side of the spectrum. i have really gotta move to japan...
well, germans tend also to be the opposite to japanese. if you go to www.studivz.de (http://www.studivz.de/default.htm) , a german students directory and direct clone of facebook, you cant imagine to what elusive extend they do their soul striptease. but.... www.myspace.com (http://www.myspace.com/default.htm) - can it get any worse than that ?
in 10 years all those people might have some serious problems while trying to attain a new job and the staff manager asks about some nasty and unpleasant stuff....

Afraid to put their picture on the internet? Psh, Japan is so far behind technology-wise. (It's a joke.)

I just came across something rather odd.
http://www.x-nauts.com/psikyo/product/hg3/himitsu.html
http://www.x-nauts.com/psikyo/product/hg3/arika.jpg
The "vice president of Arika" is a secret character in some Psikyo porno mahjong game (http://www.mameworld.net/maws/romset/hotgmck3). So... this person... is Mihara??!? http://www.tetrisconcept.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif
That's even crazier than the T block being a secret character in the Psikyo shooter Space Bomber (http://www.mameworld.net/maws/romset/sbomberb)
http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/9880/sbomberbmf1.png
TA and TAP run on Psikyo arcade hardware, so this isn't completely random. But it is still very very odd.

yeah that would be very funny http://www.tetrisconcept.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif
