Some of you have seen the texmaster flaw and how it is very fun to set up and play. Of course there is no way you can claim the rank awared compared to a "standard play"... But the flaw open the way to gameplay strategy if you go for score attack .

demo available on google video (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2809674212941008744&hl=en)

(quality recompression is crap but i have some troubleshooting for uploading on youtube ?!?!)

Once you reduced the effective number of column down to 4 (as shown on the video example), you don't need anymore 10 blocks to make a row but obviously 4 witch mean : you can theorically make an infinite COMBO as long as you make singles ! http://www.tetrisconcept.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif
Texmaster display combo point earned and it become really crazy, so crazy than the game calculation seems bugged too (to confirm)

you can play on any game mode but obviously Special Ti is the best for

Texmaster SCORE ATTACK

the scoring algorithm don't seems to work properly :

for a combo starting at level 114, each new line add point to the total score displayed

4734
4915 + 181
5163 + 248
5419 + 256
5843 + 424
6152 + 309
7302 + 1150
7627 + 325
8723 + 1096

for a combo starting at level 554 the point earned is only the final point displayed
116447
117626 + 1179
119413 + 2966
120421 + 3974
122796 + 6349
125781 + 9334
127443 + 10996
129113 + 12666
130821 + 14374
132516 + 16069
134242 + 17795
135983 + 19536
137713 + 21266
139423 + 22973
141157 + 24710
142913 + 26466

does the algorithm change once you reach a certain level ??

shouldn't i get 210653 points from the combo ??

Okay, I had a few goes at this challenge, and I must admit, it's a lot harder than I thought. Either that, or I'm just really bad. It takes me a lot of thought just to set up the columns on the left and right:

I can't believe I topped out before 500! That's just embarrassing... I'll have to have another go later.

haha I guess this is like playing in BIG mode once you get the columns set up. if you're good in BIG mode you're good in this.

Ha ha..That was very fun !

It is not that easy to create the solid side, I only made bug 2 columns on the left, and 3 on the right..

I got a REGRET on the first section, because of the building of the bug, and then, thanks to the 50% reduction of the matrix, you can make increase the lv very fast and get every other COOLs..

haha I guess this is like playing in BIG mode once you get the columns set up. if you're good in BIG mode you're good in this.

In fact, "this" is just like the width-4 mode in Tetris Semipro 68K that inspired BIG mode in the TGM series.

Which row gets duplicated? Is it 21 (first hidden row), 22, 23, ...?
