Current standings have been updated.

Colour thief, I'm all geared up for kicking your ass, but I'm afraid I'll have to go to bed pretty soon. Any chance you'll be free for a game this weekend?

Ratings have been updated for the third time.

DeHackEd, colour_thief: any chance either of you will be able to play me this weekend? (Sorry for last weekend, I realise that was mostly my fault for being afk at the crucial moment...)

3. Yeah I should be generally available, unless I'm in the middle of a Lode Runner marathon or something.

4. colour_thief and I just played two matches.

He won the first one 5 - 3.

I won the second one 5 - 0.

5. Caithness 5-1 Kitaru

Gotta get back in the swing of this TDS thing. <_>

Edo a.k.a. FSY

Caithness just beat me 5-0 :'(

EDIT:
And Edo falls to the mighty Kitaru, 5-1

Damn, I really need to win a game soon...

7. I beat Edo 5-2 and then 5-2 again.

8. DeHackEd

DeHackEd green Gm

I lost my wifi hub, so I'm definitely not playing anybody.

And by 'lost', I mean 'donated to a better cause'

I just got back my Ninty WFC dongle, so I'll be kicking some butt this weekend. That is if I can get the drivers to work on Windows Server 2008 R2. Initial findings seem promising.

EDIT: I got the USB stick to work on x64 as a client, but not with Nintendo's tool or as a DS-compatible SoftAP. In the end I just installed the software on my 32-bit laptop and all was fine. :)

Ratings updated. (Thanks to Kevcel for reminding me :))

11. Muf

Muf

Edo 5 - 2 Muf

I think my two-year-old rusty playing style isn't going to get me very far in this tournament :D

EDIT:

Kevcel 5 - 0 Muf

:'(

12. Kevcel 5 - 0 Muf
:)

Ratings are finally up to date; apologies for taking absolutely ages to sort this out; I guess I got a bit disheartened by people's general lack of interest and didn't really feel like putting in the time to calculate everyone's new ratings.

Sadly, it's starting to look like no one really plays this game any more, and that having a championship with so few players would be a bit farcical. I'll carry on updating ratings if people want to play, but I'm going to have to either extend the deadline of 23rd Dec to allow more players to join and play matches, or forget about the play-off between the final four entirely, and just keep the ratings as a ranked leaderboard for whomever wishes to participate.

15. Sorry man, I've just been busy with school. :<

I found the fact that I can only play in certain conditions (e.g. in my apartment with my own router set to WEP encryption) sort of hurt things. :/ It isn't like a Nullpo/BB/TF league where I would be able to play anywhere I bring my laptop.

16. Yeah, for me playing at university is pretty much impossible because I can't get an unencrypted wireless connection in college, and playing at home requires me to change my router settings, and the connection settings for every computer in my house, back to WEP just to play, which seems like far more hassle than it's worth.

I realise that WEP is a bit of an obstacle for a lot of people, but is it really so bad that you guys are never going to play this game ever again? I can't see it taking more than a couple of minutes to change your wireless security mode from WPA to WEP. If you're only going to be playing TDS for a half hour session or so, there's no real need to reconfigure every other computer in the house; just leave them without internet access for a half hour, and then switch back to WPA. Is it really so much hassle?

18. Rarely being in a place where I can even switch to WEP in order to contact other people that are either busy or cannot currently switch to WEP significantly reduces any chances of getting a match together.

19. If I'm honest, I was never planning on playing it again online anyway. The fact that I have to dig our wifi router from under my parents' bed (that's where we put it because it gives decent signal and it's out of the way) and then screw around with the settings is just an added inconvenience.

20. I claim second place. :sneaky:
