You ever thought about doing this automatic via a database or something? You just need to enter/ change a player entry when someone has a new PB and it generates a html page afterwards. I did something similar over here: http://www.games-net.de/hosted/tggc/tetris/index.php?action=4

@TGGC: I am considering that possibility even though I kinda dropped the ball. It was supposed to be implemented for the new TC3 project that Muf ran, the contributions of which can be posted here.

The main thing is being able to change the main topic with an updated ranking after a new record has been updated, from my point of view. I guess the database part can be a bit tricky as well.

If you wish to add anything, you can always switch back to the TC3 topic

Last night at my local arcade! I was actually one line clear away from S6 as well!

 

There is TGM in your arcade ? Damn, I don’t know what’s making me more glad, either that, or the fact that new players are still giving into the Tetris madness even to this day *o*

And for the newer, lesser-skilled players, by all means do not hesitate to post your scores if you think they are « not good enough » : the best way to compare yourself to players of your skill level is to post your score, but if everyone is startled and ashamed of their performances, then there’s no more scores. So by all means do it !

 

Yeah the arcade is run by someone who REALLY gets it. He has promised me free admission for an entire year if I make it to GM.

I own the board and a supergun but I seem to do better at my arcade. I can't believe I'm already in the top 100, I've only been playing for a couple months.

3 months ago I played for 5 straight hours until I got my first S1. The day before that was the first time I played TGM. I've come a long way.

 

Means that TGM1 has this incredible ability to teach you in 3 months as many skill as general tetris game teached me in many years. I was directly S6 on TGM when I have started the serie in end of 2004. 4 months later I was GM.
