How do I set up texmaster properly? I can't seem to get the controls right. Is there DAS for texmaster like there is for modern SRS games (ex.Tetrisfriends)? I replaced player 1 player 2 with key_type_pl1 = 5 key_type_pl2 = 2 My control is "type 1" but controls don't seem to change. I have Texmaster2009-3 installed.
Hi, If you want to customize the controls to your own liking then you need to set player1 = 5 and refer to the key.html file included with Texmaster and find the right keycode for each key on your keyboard. Then change all the key_type5_* variables in the ini. As for the DAS. Since Texmaster tried to simulate Tetris the Grand Master arcade series as close as possible, the DAS is set and can not be changed since those games don't allow for it.
A,B,C,D refer to the original arcade controls. A, B and C rotate your pieces clockwise or counter-clockwise. (A and C rotate the same way) Some players use all three buttons to rotate. I use only two. (B+C for Classic, A+B for World) D is only used in Special Ti and Sudden Ti and is the Hold key. Personally I play with a USB Arcade stick (Hori Real Arcade Pro V3 SA Kai) but for sure there are great players using keyboard. player1_keyA = 0 player1_keyB = 3 player1_keyC = 5 player1_keyD = 1 ^ Should work for Hori sticks at least.
