Tetris Concept Twitch Team?

  1. I was thinking about this recently, is there any interest in forming Twitch team for TC? I don't know what kind of requirements we would want for people to join the team, but there are a number of active TC users who stream. I've also noticed that HardDrop has a Twitch team. Thoughts?

  3. From what I have read only partnered streamers can create a Twitch team, and I dont think that anyone of us has a partnership with twitch.

  4. I didn't realize only partnered streamers can create a Twitch team. I think @KevinDDR is a partnered streamer, though. He's got a sub button anyway.

  6. I read the page and still don't really understand what a team is.
Also it seems being a partner doesn't necessarily involve taking subscriptions on your Twitch profile. So what exactly does it entail?

Also, would a TC twitch Team be focused entirely on TGM, or other forms of Tetris as well?

  7. If I create a team it will probably not be affiliated exclusively with TC because I would like to include some general arcade game folks too.

  8. A team is a bit like a YouTube network/community/whatever you like to call it like Normal Boots or Hidden Block in that viewers can see people who are affiliated and/or partnered with other members they may like and create exposure for said other members. While streaming, a tag will be appended after the game title like so:

Clicking on the team name (in this case, The Action Commanders) takes you to the team page:

Here, you can view a list of streamers part of the team, both live and offline, see recently uploaded videos and general info about the team.
The idea is that by making a team, you create exposure for smaller streamers that either stream the same types of games (in this case, Mario RPG games) or are related in some other way, both sending and receiving viewers to and from other streams.
Creating a TGM/arcade based team would mean people who only watch, say, Kevin's stream can go onto the team page and find other streamers playing the same sort of thing (TGM/arcade) that they are interested in, allowing them to get more of the things they love. It's a win-win both for the streamers involved and the viewers.
I might be mistaken, but I think being partnered allows things like monetised streams (ads benefit you as well as Twitch), sub buttons, and a few other, smaller perks.

That's okay, as long as you'll still call it Tetrisconcept. :awe:

  10. Is there any chance of this ever happening?
A team dedicated to Tetris would be a huge thing for Twitch. While I would love to see it feature multiple types of clients, rather than just TGM, mixing it up with other games would kinda miss the point.

Of course, I can't imagine any dedicated Tetris streamer (apart from Kevin I guess) ever getting enough viewers to get a partnered account. I think you need like an average of 500 per day or so? It's rare to see any Tetris stream getting more than 10.

  11. Hard Drop has a Twitch team.

  12. How does it work?
