I am announcing my new, automated, leaderboard website, tetriscore.com (pronounced Tetri-Score). It is currently in development. I figured announcing it here would make it feel more official and would give more drive to get finish it.

    Planed Features:
    • More detailed views
I do not have any plans to support games with their own online high-score tables (e.g Tetris Zone). I'm always up for suggestions to make the website better, but i may not implement them in the first version of the website.

    Note:
There is a bug with the footer in opera that will not be fixed!
Also, you can upload replays and screen shots but there is currently no way of viewing them [IMG]

I'll add the new features by the end of the week, hopefully.

Do you plan to publish an API so that developers of tetromino games can add a score upload button?

  6. nice domainname , indeed! how long do you have that domain? i remember that i was once trying to register that domain and it was already taken [IMG]

and - yes - an api would be cool, that would allow to implement uploads directly into diverse games. i suggest you to look at www.blockout.net and the game blockoutII to have a look at how online and ingame highschores go hand in hand to get maybe some inspiration. i could also give you some php code if you wonder how stuff is done on www.blockout.net leaderboards..

An API is not planned currently. I'll revisit the idea once i have the base site up and running.

I've only had it for a month or two [IMG]

I'm actually writing all of the backend in python [IMG]. The django web framework makes it pretty easy to get a website done, and i already have a pretty clear idea of how i'm going to go about this.

  8. @cdsboy: ok! think i confused it with http://www.highscores.com/ - wich was and still is taken by some domaingrabber, who wants ridiculous 25.000 dollars for this domain.

The first version of www.tetriscore.com is live! It lacks a few more detailed views, but the base site works just fine.

    Note:
I know of the opera bug with the footer. It doesn't stop you from seeing any data and i do not plan to fix it.

  10. What's the opera bug? I don't notice anything.

Ok meroigo's bug should be fixed. Unfortunately the production server is acting differently than the dev server and screenshots and replays are not being uploaded properly...

  15. I did, and it appears to behave the same way as Firefox and Internet Explorer to me. :S
    9.50 Win-version.

No, no, no [IMG] Opera is the name of a browser [IMG]

sigh.. and now i have to announce. I screwed up with the database and had to wipe it. This is the first and last time it'll ever happen. You will have to re-register

Your Opera browser doesn't happen to be running on a Wii, does it? Or could you post a screenshot?
