Hi people! I was thinking about something to add to the wiki. Is an explanation about each one of the rules on Nullpomino. I was thinking in something like that: <Rule Name> Root System: (Rotation System that it's based of, like ARS, SRS, Sega Rotation...) Used On: (Games where the rule was used (Only official games, unless it is used only on fangames, like DTET Rotation. Also, if it's an original ruleset, put "Original" here.) Notes: (Some notes about the rule) Here are some samples i made: List of Nullpomino's Rule Systems Avalanche Root System: Puyo-Puyo (Non Tetris) Used On: Puyo-Puyo Series (Post-Fever) Notes: More flexible than its Classic counterpart. Avalanche Classic Root System: Puyo-Puyo (Non-Tetris) Used On: Puyo-Puyo Series (Pre-Fever) Notes: Less flexible than its counterpart. Classic 0 Root System: Sega Rotation System (ARS Precurssor) Used On: Sega Tetris (Arcade) Notes: One-way rotation. One of the most simple rules. Classic 0 68K Root System: Sega Rotation System (ARS Precurssor) Used On: Sega Tetris (Genesis) Notes: Classic 0 with reversed rotation. Classic 1 Root System: ARS (Arika Rotation System) Used On: TGM (Tetris The Grand Master) Notes: Albeit simple, this rule is said to be very balanced and suited for eficiency. Classic 2 Root System: ARS (Arika Rotation System) Used On: TAP (Tetris The Absolute: The Grand Master 2 Plus) Notes: Just like Classic 1, but with a Sonic Drop. Classic 3 Root System: ARS (Arika Rotation System) Used On: TI (Tetris The Grand Master 3: Terror-Instinct, Classic Rule) Notes: Just like Classic 2, but with 3-Piece Preview, Hold and more flexible Wallkicks. Also, i was thinking of this: Difficulty: (How hard is to use the rule from 1 to 10) Simplicity: (How simple is the rule from 1 to 10) The info on the sample may be wrong. It's just based on experience, so any correction will be welcome Off-Topic:And also, check out my wiki page, new Garde Mania 1 record!
Talking about Rulesets, it reminds me about an awesome thing a new TGM game/clone/whatever should implement in it's 20g gameplay : Auto-shift speed changes.
It's not 20G, but I think Retro Mastery might already do this and it is something I have considered for other Nintendo heritage games.
