Hi, Is thee any Tetris homebrew etc, that would let me set up a certain board position, say for a J or L triple spin without getting stuck, or for a T-spin position - that would then let me state the 'next' piece and let me keep repeating that move over and over (with the piece dissapearing after it's locked obviously, to retain the field position and training session). I think this would be a great tool for me as sometimes certain situations don't present themselves often enough for me to get really proficient with them and when they do come by at high speeds i'm non prepared enough for the timing etc. Any ideas? thanks,
Hi, I am currently building some training tools which I plan to add here. I will include an option to set the initial stack configuration.
Oh man, I would love to do something like that. I was working for a gaming studio up until last month, and we were all set to make a brain training-style Tetris game, but then the company folded after EA cancelled all our projects (including that one). I had all kinds of ideas for the game, including something like that. I still hope to get a chance to do it someday, whether in my spare time or with another gaming studio. I have, however, found that a lot of moves can be practiced by studying diagrams or brief animations, then just going through a game and setting it up myself. I learned how to set up T-spins fairly reliably after doing this for a couple of hours one night. This gives the added bonus of learning how to set the moves up yourself, rather than just happening upon them by chance.
In the practice mode of Heboris' expansions, there's an option to play with custom preset fields with 6 initial tetrominoes of your choice.
