I started playing tetris on facebook, the tetris friends app. It was fun, and I started to really get into it, and then I got onto the tetris friends website, which soon lead me to this site. I have no idea what some of the things being discussed are about, but I only have played online on these two sites. Where else can I go to play competitively? I really enjoy the fact that there is an entire community behind tetris, so I would like to start doing some things with the community. Please help me out?
Welcome to TC. You will need to go to the Wiki to learn all the terms. Don't worry if you don't understand some things. I have been reading the forum for awhile and I still don't get a lot of what is saying. The wiki here will be your best friend for learning things like "SRS" or "ARS" or anything like that. Also #tetrisconcept is a good place too if you have some sort of IRC. Blockbox seems to have become pretty popular as far as online competition. There is a thread about it somewhere on the first page. This is definitely the place to be for learning the inner workings of Tetris games. Anything that you are having trouble with as far as Tetris terms and gameplay just search the WIki and if you still don't get it then ask here on the forums or one of the fine members of TC.
Thanks. This is just quite a step away from my old gaming community with xbox live and Shadowrun. But I am enjoying this a bit more than I initially expected.
