Hey All, Just wanted to say that I've made the decision to give up on ever making blockstats work like it should. Nintendo more or less did that in for me, and broke my spirit. However, the chat room seems to still be functional for some people to arrange games, or to just talk about Tetris. That said, I've decided to reformat the room just slightly (make it more about just "Tetris" and less about "TetrisDS"), and have changed servers. The new website URL (also hoping to post tetris news): http://www.tetrischat.com/ The new irc server: irc.tetrischat.com (ports 6667 or 4242) All the chanserv and nickserv data is still there. If you would like your own room for your own tetris site, or would like information on how to add the main room to your own site, drop me a private message. Thank you all for the support you guys showed blockstats back in the day. Hopefully the reformatted chatroom will continue to serve a purpose (and maybe we can bring back tetribot for hosting some tournaments).
I don't know if it's just because of the new url, but since you changed it the channel has been a lot more active.
Could be the change in name, could be the not-so-ds targeted market... Could be the tetris party tournament going on nationwide and the fact that blockstats was targeted at nintendo based tetris games... All I know, is I'm happy to be one of the people who is back (although not around so much today). Now if only I could bring blockstats itself back as the place to get scores for tetris ds... but alas, getting access to that data has proven all but impossible. -Justin
