    What I am not asking

What Tetris games are these from?

    What I am asking

What original compositions were these songs based on? (Play)

  2. at least one wasn't based on an original composition, rather was an original composition within the game (pointing at tetris dx).

  3. 2 is an original I think

  4. All of 2, 3, 4, 5, 9 are original I think. 5 is called Technotris, I'm not sure if the rest have names.

    As for 1, 6, 7, and 8, I don't know the names I'm afraid.

Could you list what games these are from? Most are obvious but a few had me stumped.

    1. NES Tet?is LOGINSKA
    2. GB Tetris high score
    3. NES Tetris MUSIC-3
    4. GB Tetris rocket
    5. Famicom Tetris TECHNOTRIS part 1
    6. NES Tet?is BRADINSKY
    7. GB Tetris B-TYPE (also as NES Tetris MUSIC-2)
    8. NES Tet?is title
    9. NES Tetris high score
What I'm really looking for is composer names, so that I can verify that specific works are by composers who died before 1936 and thus are suitable for free use.

The kind of answer I'm looking for:
    • Famicom Tetris TECHNOTRIS part 2 is "Arabesque" by Burgmller
    • NES Tetris rocket is Bizet - Carmen Suite No.1, Fantasie
    • GB Tetris C-TYPE is French Suite No.3 in B-, BWV.814, 4.Minuet
    • GB Tetris B-type level 9 clear is "Trepak" by Tchaikovsky

  6. Sorry, I don't know Russian composers that well... Safe to say none of those songs are by Rachmaninoff or Stravinsky. [IMG]

I've got some Russian friends, I'll try and see if they know.

Two that aren't in the recording that I'd also like to know about if you get a chance to ask:
    • Famicom Tetris and NES Tet?is TROIKA
    • Game Boy Tetris title screen
Expect them to say "Tet-yice" at least once.
